As cinemas open across the country and southern industry also revitalizing the exhibition sector, Team Infography Came to know exclusively that Sanjay Gupta’s long-awaited gangster drama from Mumbai Saga starring John Abraham and Emran Hashmi is being staged on a live digital line. The film will premiere soon on Amazon Prime Video. The decision to release it on a digital platform was made by producer Bhushan Kumar and director Sanjay Gupta after more than three months of thinking about the film models to be released.
The Mumbai story about John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi has been the subject of much discussion since it was announced. The film also features Prateek Babar, Ronit Roy, Sunil Shetty, Gulshan Grover and Jackie Shroff, with Emran Hashmi as a cop and John Abraham as a gangster. However, the creators decided to publish the film digitally. Due to its eclectic cast and direction by Sanjay Gupta, the film has been sold for Rs65 crores on Amazon Prime Video for digital rights. With digital rights and music rights on sale, the T-series was able to cover the losses and make a decent profit with the deal. The trailer is clearly ready and the makers will announce it soon.
Along with the Mumbai Saga, three more films are likely to be sold for the digital edition, DhamakaKartikAaryan, PagglaitSanyaMalhotras, and Parineeti Chopra biopic Saina Nehwal.
